  If I could give this lawyer no stars, I would! The first thing you should know before hiring Lisa Heller is that you are going to be stuck with her for a very long time. She is a habitual procrastinator, and you will be billed a lot of money for all of the hours she spends "working" on your case! The next thing you should know is that she is not very good at her job. She is inarticulate, does not seem to understand the rules of the court, and she has a flawed sense of loyalty. I went to court last week with a family friend. His ex hired Lisa Heller two years ago to try to keep him from seeing their child. They have made his life a living hell for no other reason than the mother did not want to share the child, so Lisa Heller concocted a scheme to try to accomplish this very thing. They had some so-called expert witness testify. Everything she had to say was a lie. So much for testifying under oath! Luckily, the judge saw through all of their lies! This is not the first time that I have encountered Lisa Heller. Ten years ago hired her when my ex husband decided to divorce me after over thirty years of marriage. I was a stay at home mom (his insistence) and helped him rise to the top of his profession. He is the director of engineers for a large international electronics firm located in Salem. Lisa Heller led me into so-called mediation instead of going to trial. I had no idea from day one that this was going to happen, and she did nothing helpful to prepare me for this event. She did tell me to wear my surgical boot from a recent surgery, and she told me to wear old clothes, not to style my hair or wear makeup. All this got me was a stern lecture from the judge! He did not want to award me any support because he perceived me as being lazy, which was far from true, but Lisa Heller did not even attempt to come to my defense! In the end, I was the one who negotiated some kind of settlement, but it was only pennies on the dollar! My ex's salary was (and still is) extremely high, but his lawyer helped him hide most of it. Lisa Heller did absolutely nothing to stop this. She seemed uninterested or distracted the whole time! Afterwards, I found out that Lisa Heller, my ex's lawyer, and the judge all went to law school together. As we were leaving the courthouse, my ex's lawyer asked Lisa Heller if they were still on for drinks that evening. I was livid! Lisa Heller is not a good lawyer, which was very bad for me, but it was good for my friend last week!
